Royal Visit

Today the Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim, Mr David McCorkell, received HRH The Princess Royal in Carrickfergus.

HRH, in her role as Admiral of the Sea Cadets Corps, Marine Society and Sea Cadets, attended a parade to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Sea Cadets in Northern Ireland. During the parade, HRH praised cadets for their ‘polished and professional display’ in a speech reflecting on the importance of Sea Cadets’ work.

The Lord-Lieutenant was joined by his Lord-Lieutenant Cadet, Adam Barr.

The High Sheriff of County Antrim, Mr John Lockett, OBE, was also present.
