His Majesty The King in Northern Ireland

Yesterday His Majesty King Charles III and The Queen Consort visited Hillsborough Castle where, amongst other engagements, His Majesty received his Northern Irish Lord-Lieutenants.

The Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim, Mr David McCorkell, was honoured to be received by His Majesty The King and to be able to express his condolences, on behalf of the people of County Antrim, for the passing of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Lord-Lieutenant later attended a Service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty The Queen in St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast, which was attended by His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort.
