Royal Visits

During March, The Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim welcomed two members of the Royal Family to County Antrim.

Firstly, on 16th March, HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh, Royal Colonel, visited 2nd Battalion the Royal Irish Regiment to present them with their St Patrick’s Day Shamrock during a parade at Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn.

On 21 April, The Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim welcomed Her Majesty The Queen to Lisburn. HM, Royal Colonel the Rifles Regiment, visited 2 Rifles at Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn.

The Lord-Lieutenant then joined HM The Queen at Hillsborough Castle, Royal Hillsborough, for a Queen’s Reading Room event to mark National Poetry Day.
