New DLs

The Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim, Mr David McCorkell, has announced the appointment of three new Deputy Lieutenants (DLs):

  • Mrs Kathryn Collie who lives in Ballymena. Kathryn studied Law at Cambridge and Guildford Law School. She trained in London and returned home in 1997. Her specialty is Commercial Law and she is currently a Partner at Cleaver Fulton and Rankin.She has been Head of the Commercial Property team and Chair of the Partner Group. She was a DOE Representative on the Board of Governors of Ballymena Academy 2017-22 and is currently a member of the Board as Subscriber Representative. She is married with two grown up children.
  • Mrs Pauline Shields, OBE, who lives in Hillsborough. Pauline served in the RUC GC and PSNI from 1986 to 2016. Among her many appointments she was Chief Superintendent in charge of local policing across six council areas including Lisburn & Castlereagh. She was responsible for policing the G8 summit in 2013 and the visit of HM The Queen to Co Fermanagh in 2012. She was awarded an OBE in 2014. She was appointed by the Irish Government as Deputy Chief Inspector of the Garda Siochana Inspectorate in 2016 and is still in this role. Pauline is married with two grown up children.
  • Iain Getty who lives in Lisburn. Iain is a Chartered Physiotherapist having qualified in 1989. He established the Lisburn Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in 1991 and left the NHS in 1998 to establish his own practice which now employs eight Chartered Physios in Lisburn. In 1991, he was appointed National Physiotherapist to the Ireland Senior Mens Hockey Team. He is currently in that role for the Ulster & Ireland Masters’ Hockey Team. He also played for both teams and has won 50 caps for Ireland. He has captained the over 55s team. He is married with four children.
